Generally appropriate labels include: radical feminist; labor activist; white; well-educated; fat; privileged; heterosexual; socialist; and atheist. Labels subject to change. Well, except the white part. I can’t really do anything about that. And the fat part might change, but my experience is that it will change back again. And I guess I can’t get un-well-educated (although I could get willfully ignorant, but I hope that doesn’t happen). And having grown up privileged, I don’t suppose I can change the ways that has shaped my outlook and experience. And the hetero thing might be hardwired or it might be socialized but I’m awfully attached to my male SO so it’s hard to see that particular label going anywhere. But arguably I could turn my back on feminism and embrace the patriarchy, turn rat and become a shill for management, embrace capitalism, and find Jesus. But boy I hope not.
I am married, sans kids but with cats (three). I make money by doing law talkin’ stuff. In my spare time, I like to drink beer, perform feats of extreme craftiness, sing karaoke, and read books. Chicago is my home. I do the best I can.
