Via the always hilarious Garfield mins Garfield.
I hereby declare “flossing the otter” as the hip new masturbation euphemism. Who’s with me?

I honestly cannot think of ANYTHING else that might mean…

That’s almost as good as “voting Republican.”

But I LIKE masturbating….

I thought it already meant that.

A Google search for “flossing the otter” turns up a song by someone named Clyde Mattocks (presumably a Jim Davis fan), and another blog that posted this same cartoon and helpfully defined “flossing the otter” as “[w]earing thong underwear backwards and sitting on the washing machine while it runs an unbalanced load.”
Given that the G-G comics are just original Garfield comics with Garfield removed, that “flossing her otter” line is straight from the brain of Jim Davis, who is probably not writing about masturbation.
Or he is always writing about masturbation. I don’t think there’s any middle ground there.

Just submitted it to Urban Dictionary – was just too funny not to.

OMG–I haven’t been online in a while and that was exactly what I needed. I will tell my 3 year old to stop requesting “alone time” and get with the current lingo.

Marvelous. I shall be watching here and Garfield Minus Garfield for an equivalent hip masturbation term for the bepenised.
